Tras el impacto del escándalo de UB tras el llamado Black Friday sigue despertando todo tipo de polémicas en la comunidad de póker. Esta vez Brad Booth, ex jugador pro de Full Tilt Poker (FTP), presuntamente perdió hasta cantidades de siete cifras contra tramposos mientras jugaba en UB, ha señalado a través de un conocido foro TwoPlusTwo indicando que ha estado en contacto tanto con Russ Hamilton como con Phil Hellmuth en relación al escándalo de UB. “Estos últimos dos días he estado en contacto con Russ Hamilton y a decir verdad ha sido muy agotador estar escribiendo mensajes de texto con un tipo que ha echado a perder mi carrera. Además, sentí como que estuviera hablando con mi asesino. No sé si realmente podrán llegar a entenderlo, pero estaba lleno de emociones y con bastante adrenalina.
Van a tener que ser pacientes, ya que este es un tema muy delicado para mí y los todos los afectados. No voy en busca de atención o simpatía, he dedicado toda mi vida a este juego tan maravilloso llamado póker, y lo único que siento es respeto por el juego y su comunidad.
Nunca esperé noticias de Russ Hamilton. Finalmente decidimos quedar para hablar cara a cara, pero cuando se acercó el momento, me dijo que no podía.
Por otro lado, no pudieron ofrecerme cinco millones de dólares para mantener la boca cerrada, pero además, es que nunca me vendería en la comunidad de póker. Los involucrados tienen que hacerse responsables de sus acciones. Ahora deberíamos empezar a oir a la gente que ha investigado este caso.
